It is great to hear from so many of you that the home learning support we are providing is being positively received. We are also delighted to hear that the online CPD staff meetings are proving beneficial and the uptake suggests this will continue to be the case for the rest of the summer term (both home learning and online staff meetings will continue for the next two months). As you know, your IP is also available to you for any additional support and bespoke training you may need during these unpredictable and unprecedented times.
We know most of you will be open to more and more children over the coming weeks and we want to reassure you that we are here to provide you with any help, support and advice regarding SfA and how it can be reasonably delivered in what must be very unusual classroom settings. We are also delighted to be able to extend our tutoring programme ‘Tutoring with Alphie’ to all SfA schools. A half day of training for those delivering the programme is required and this can be delivered remotely by arrangement with the office. We will also be providing ideas for new GAT (Getting Along Together) activities to be used in school alongside our home learning resources. We hope that these resources are useful to you and help with the difficulties some children may experience on returning to school after such a long-enforced absence.
